2002 Summer TV Ad Transcript – 8th District Ohio

FOR RELEASE: August 5, 2002

It’s simple. Compulsory unionism is wrong. No worker should be forced to pay a union boss just to get or keep a job.

But the Big Labor Bosses don’t agree. Their limousine lifestyles and radical politics are paid for by billions of dollars in forced dues each year.

This forced-dues cash helps elect their handpicked, tax-and-spend politicians, like Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton.

They’ve had an iron grip on Washington, D.C. for decades, and federal law has kept workers powerless to get the union bosses’ hands out of their pockets . . . until now.

President Bush has pledged to end forced unionism nationwide by signing a National Right to Work Act.

When running for office, Congressman John Boehner pledged to cosponsor and seek roll-call votes on this bill.

But instead, Congressman Boehner, as Chairman of the House Education and Workforce Committee, has this bill bottled up –- refusing to even hold hearings.

Please call Congressman John Boehner today and urge him to honor his promise. Ask him to join with President Bush in the fight against forced unionism by cosponsoring and scheduling a Committee vote on the National Right to Work Act.
