Hmmmmm........disturbing. A city's firefighters and police going on strike if and when they choose. The only problem here is that they're NOT (dis) organized labor. Like the Armed Forces, they are paid, and expected, to "serve and protect" the public, and should not the "right" to hamstring public safety for bigger, more unreasonable paychecks

we gave everyone a right to belong in a UNION.

we DID NOT give the right for the unions to take advantage of the people.

this is same prob i have with the US govt.

keep me free of people that want me dead(national defense), keep me warm(home, food, clothing), then let me be FREE.

i have no problem paying for that thru taxes, its all the other crap im paying for that pisses me off

The National Right to Work Committee, established in 1955, is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, single-purpose citizens’ organization dedicated to the principle that all Americans must have the right to join a union if they choose to...So why are Republicans so intent on denying this right? The history goes beyond centuries to deny workers rights for security and safety, if you find the time to research.

This bill was introduced in mid 1990, and is supported by police officers, firefighters, teachers, auto workers, carpenters, plumbers, mine workers, and the list goes on. So why do these folks believe this right is worth fighting for?

Why not ask one of them about adequate protections for public safety employees’ collective bargaining rights. We all know one. They are your neighbor.
